It’s sure to be a fabulous show!
Business at Show Me Handmade is running smoothly. I am learning so much about running a small business…tons of hard work and many rewards
The thing I’ve enjoyed most is seeing and learning more about the incredible talent we have in the local St. Louis area. So far we’ve accepted 24 local consignors to display their handmade art, crafts, and goods in Show Me Handmade. We now carry everything from blown glass to body care products to jewelry. New inventory is always coming in, everything is unique, and it’s all handmade locally. Come check us out!!

Wow! What a busy few weeks! Show Me Handmade’s doors officially opened for business on Thursday, February 5th. We weren’t really sure what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the store is being very well received. We had a fabulous first week! My hubby built the store’s Point Of Sale program and it’s so incredibly useful for keeping track of inventory, sales, receipts, and record keeping. He’s planning to sell the program to small business owners once we get all the kinks worked out :) Most of the store’s consignors have delivered their goodies and the talent is awesome! You can find crocheted items, clothing, lotion, soap, cards, photography, paintings, glass works, metal works, and of course Mandala Design Studio jewelry
I’ve also included my popular I Am What I Am line of jewelry. Thanks to those of you that visited in the store last week! For those that haven’t, please do check us out. Look for news to come on our Grand Opening on March 7th & 8th! Thank you for supporting local handmade artists!!!!

I am so excited about a fabulous new website that is the source for everything handmade in the St. Louis area.: www.stlhandmade.com. They currently feature a local St. Louis artist weekly on the site. It is so interesting to learn more about the huge talent we have right next door to us. They also offer information on upcoming shows and events. You really need to check out this site!
You can check out my featured artist profile the week of Sunday, January 11. Thanks to www.stlhandmade.com for this fabulous opportunity!

It’s a new year full of new possibilities. I have been working on getting organized this week. The busy holiday show schedule had me running mad. I now have some time to clean up, organize, reflect on the past year, and set goals for the new year. This week and next will be spent “destashing” some of my supply. I will be listing several supplies in my Etsy shop at www.mandaladesign.etsy.com. Once that’s finished I’ll be working on the look of my etsy shops and my Mandala Design Studio website….just to freshen them up a bit
You can expect to see some changes to my blog as well. I’ll keep you posted!
Here’s wishing you all a happy, safe, and warm holiday season.
Love & Prayers ~ Jessi
